Term & Conditions

 How we work:

1.       Survey will be carried out, and an Estimate will be created with regards to your works.

2.       Once you have agreed to the works, a deposit invoice will be sent to you so that we can then book you into our calendar.

3.       If items are required to be measured and ordered, we will then arrange a site visit to take these details and request a further payment for these items. This will include Slim Double-glazing units, Secondary Glazing Units. New windows will require a 50% deposit that would be paid from the client direct to the Joiners. Remaining balance for the new windows will be requested prior to items being delivered to site.

4.       Staged payments will be requested during the project.

5.       Once works have been completed and signed off by the client the final balance will be requested.

6.       If you are happy with the works that have been carried out, we would then kindly ask for you to carry out a quick review on Google / Trustpilot to promote our business for future work.

7.       On occasion we may call you and ask if you would be happy to receive a call from a future client regarding the work we carried out for you.

 

Payments:

1.       Booking in deposit payment on request

2.       Payment for materials on prior to ordering for glass, secondary glazing units.

3.       Joinery items – 50% Deposit will be paid direct to the joiners and balance due on request prior to being delivered to site.

4.       Interim Payments (Depending on project size this may be broken into 2+ Payments)

5.       Balance Payment which will include any extras agreed on works sign off.

6.       All payments have a request of a maximum of 7 days. Any delay in payment may incur an admin charge.

 

Booking Project Dates:

Once we have received your deposit payment your project will be placed into our calendar. Due to the nature of our work and many unforeseen factors we can only initially give an estimated project start date. As we get closer to your project start, we will then be able to firm up the week we will be looking at beginning your project.

If you have any holidays or planned trips away, please advise and we can then look to avoid these times if needed.

 

Project Start:

We would kindly ask our clients to remove any blinds or curtains and furniture away from our working areas, so we have clear access to sheet up, and carry out our works. If there are any items that require assistance to move please advise and we would be happy to help move these out of the way.

On day one please direct us to the preferred room/s to start in, also an area you would be happy for us to carry our works. Either a room, garage, workshop or outside space.

 

Through Out Projects:

All of our works are based on working on multiple items as this gives time for paint to dry.

On day one and if not discussed prior to workings beginning our tradesman we will ask for you to show us the first couple of items/rooms we can make a start on.

As the works on the items/rooms is coming to an end the tradesman will then request the next items/rooms he can move on to. At this time, he will also advise a time of when you can look over the current works to snag/or sign off.

As we approach the end of your project, we will kindly ask for you to have a final walk around so that we can address any items prior to completion.

 

Additional Works:

During our works on your project our tradesman’s will look to carry out the necessary refurbishment and repairs. If an item is beyond repair and not specified on our estimate, then our tradesman will bring this to your attention as we would need to manufacture a new item at an additional cost. These items include a New Sash, New hardwood window cill and glass etc.

Additional paint coats (This normally depends on colouring a white over a dark colour).

Please allow an additional 5% on your estimate for any unforeseen works.

 

New Window/Doors:

Items that require manufacturing will be dealt with directly with our local joiner.

They will send over a deposit of 50% request prior to items going into production and the remaining 50% payment to be requested before the item can be delivered to site.

Your new item Guarantee will also be with the joiners.

 

Putty Work:

Our Tradesman will follow the existing putty line around the window. We will aim to give you neat sight lines, but this does mean in certain areas we will paint onto the glass, also from the inside you may see the back of the putty.

Unless you have chosen to have all of the existing putty removed from around your window, we will not be able to remove all the dimples and blemishes from the putty.

 

Work Quality:

We are working on older items, and it is our intention to remove rotten timber, prepare and paint your items to a quality finish and to leave them in good working order. We will not be removing all imperfections from the timbers as this is part of the character of the item that has been caused over many years.

 

Guarantee:

We do not offer any guarantees with our refurbishment works due to the age of the existing windows. If you are having new items manufacture, then you have a guarantee which is directly with the Joiners.

Window Furniture: We offer window furniture replacement on any failed items within the 1st year after works.

Paint: Due to the nature of our works. We cannot guarantee the paint due to moisture levels that maybe trapped withing the timbers. It is not uncommon for cracks and certain areas to peel after a period due to moisture escaping, or timber expansion. Complete Timber Window Solutions cannot take responsibility for any hidden moisture within timbers that are not visible while works takes place.

We do offer an ongoing maintenance package on any windows that we have worked on in the past.

 

Project Reviews:

Once our project has been completed and signed off, we will then look to send you a link so that you can add a review to Trustpilot and Google for us. If for any reason you have been unhappy with the works or service, we have provided we kindly ask for you to contact us directly so that we can look to resolve this for you.

 

Social Media:

We on occasion will use images of our work on social media like Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok. This will only include images of our work and sometimes property elevations. None of these pictures will show personal details or information like property address.

If you would like to opt out of this, please advise the office (info@completetimberwindowsolutions.co.uk) and we will remove your details.

 

Promotions:

Only while stocks last and can be removed at anytime.

You must adhere to all promotional guidelines. Images are for display purposes only and may differ from the actual item/s provided. Any items in the promotions can be upgrade at an additional cost. Not exchanged for a cash alternative.

Can be used in conjunction with NHS discount.

 

Discounts:

NHS and Emergency services. A valid current identity will be needed to verify your eligibility for this discount.

Discount worked out pro-rata to the size of your project.
